Since this book is a required text for a college course, the review can be limited. It is a little outdated since the laws and way things are done have changed since print in 2008. If not needed for college course- try to find something more updated. Author is very good and book is easy to follow with practice test and answers. I gave it 5 stars because it delivers what it is, a 2008 print book. I think it would be unfair to try and downgrade it because it is not have a later print. It fulfills for what it is for the time it was written for.

Not bad for reading material.
Its a text book for college courses. If you think it is going to be anything other than that you are confused. It will help you pass a state realtor's exam but there are probably better ways to prepare.I got this book because it was required for a course I was taking.
I ordered this book for my real estate course and nobody can tell me what happen I never received the book that status never changed from October 2013 the status still says shipped. Now where this book is I don't know, It never made it to my address I highly doubt anyone knows what happen to it but all I know is that I will not be doing business with this "company" again

This is a college level textbook for complete beginners in the field of Real Estate and specifically Real Estate Appraisal. As such, it gives a nice overview of the profession and of appraisal techniques and not a whole lot more. To get more in depth to the level of feeling professionally competent, you will need to add on with other books and classes. But this is a very good start.
